What is the CLAT?
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities around the country. Besides the NLUs, multiple private and public institutes are also eligible to use these scores, as a standardized testing for entry to law programs in their colleges.
Who should take the test?
The test is taken after the Higher Secondary Examination or the 12th grade for admission to integrated undergraduate programmes in Law and after Graduation in Law for Master of Laws (LL.M) programmes conducted by these law universities.
What’s on the CLAT?
The two-hour admission test consists of objective type covering 150 questions on Elementary Mathematics or Numerical Ability, English with Comprehension, General knowledge and Current affairs, Legal Aptitude and Legal Awareness and Logical reasoning.
